Chitwan : A new hotel and shopping store have opened simultaneously in a single building in front of Bharatpur Airport. Chitwan Business Complex Hotel Pvt. Ltd. (CBC) and Chitwan Vision Mart, which operates Salesbury, announced the launch at a press conference today, marking a significant addition to the city’s hospitality and retail sector.
The complex spans 107,000 square feet and features 11 floors above ground along with two underground levels. The underground floors provide parking for 80 cars and 200 two-wheelers, while three floors are dedicated to Salesbury and six floors accommodate Lords Hotel. The hotel has been launched in collaboration with internationally recognized ‘Lords Hospitality’ and offers 58 rooms, including one Presidential, three Suites, 10 Super Deluxe, 15 Premium, and the remaining Standard rooms.
The hotel also includes a 500-seat conference hall, a 100-seat meeting hall, and three smaller 30-seat meeting rooms. Its restaurant can accommodate 125 guests, and a swimming pool on the top floor is scheduled to open soon. Meanwhile, Salesbury’s 38th branch offers groceries, houseware, electronics, cosmetics, and liquor, with clothing and furniture expected to be available in the near future. Special festive discounts of up to 15 percent are being offered for Dashain and Tihar.
The project represents a total investment of NPR 1.6 billion for the hotel and building, with Salesbury accounting for NPR 250 million. Eighteen local entrepreneurs, in collaboration with Laxmi Sunrise Bank, have invested in the venture. CBC Executive Chairman Dinup Baral stated that, considering Chitwan’s rapid growth and the evolving shopping culture, the company plans to further expand its services. He also extended best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasions of Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath.
